About Section IV
Section IV was established for clinical psychologists dedicated to increasing scientific understanding of those aspects of clinical psychology that pertain to women, promoting the development of models for the delivery of service to women, increasing the quality of educational and training opportunities for women in clinical psychology, advocating on behalf of women clinical psychologists with respect to formation of policies of the Division, and to the development of the subspecialty of clinical psychology.
Why You Should Join Section IV
There are many benefits of being a member of Section IV but what draws most members to our group is the belief that clinical psychologists can have a significant impact in women's lives. If you are a clinical psychologist and care about women's issues, this is the place for you. We are an active section of Division 12 and hold our Mid-Winter meeting in conjunction with the Div 12 EC meeting. Come join us! Here are some goals we have for our Section. · Increase awareness of women centered issues · Encourage and reward outstanding research on women · Explore gender and role relationships among women · Increase the voice of women in the field of clinical psychology · Increase the national discussion on exploitation of women around the world
